Welcome to the Faerie Feast!
After your have gained your wings, you are met by a feast on the second floor with all that the forest can offer you. Tables and chairs are set up everywhere along the walkway between the houses, allowing the new visitors to meet and greet - or try to hide in the corners and eat berries all by themselves.
Try your new wings to be the first to grab those delicious crumbs of walnut bread? Or say hi to your party lights, courtesy of some excited glow worms and flies that just want to be your best friends.
Explore how your new gem works, try put your leaf clothes or decide to head further into the tree, seeing just what kind of place your have stumbled into. Maybe you will even get a glimpse of those hairy legs on the fourth floor?
A.) [One older man with very dark, weather-bitten skin and gray-white hair seems almost overly happy about all of this, grinning widely as he tosses a blueberry in his clawed hand like an edible ball. Pointed, slightly longer cat ears adorned with gold cuffs peek from the somewhat unruly strands of hair, and a just as white tail gives a little flick now and then.
He seems to have removed some armor to make it easier to fly, leaning the heavy mithril cuirass beside him and rocking a nice maple leaf tunic instead. It even came with a premade hole for his tail, which earned whatever in the nine hells this was some extra points.
Still, he's almost obnoxiously cheerful about it all, fluttering his fuzzy brown wings with a chuckle.]
Azeyma's tits, remind me to have drinks at the Gold Saucer more often!
[...or maybe he's just a lush who thinks he's having the best hallucination of his life. Oops.]
B.) [More subdued and less happy about it all, the tribe leader can be found staring at the stream of light in the middle of the tree, pursing his lips slightly in thought.
[ Gently, the princess approaches from behind. She's been exploring for the better half of the day, looking around at everything the tree has to offer. It's a cute place to live, for sure, but it's also a place where she's being held captive, so it's hard to be all that positive about it. ]
[He looks up at that, giving her a little smile. Cute!]
I agree. It reminds me of the sun, sharing warmth and life.
[T'or shifts a bit, allowing her some space if she wants to join him. Smoothing back his hair over the new fluffiness around his shoulder, his wings rustling a bit before settling again.]
.. well, a bit less scorching.
[He chuckles, a deep baritone laugh followed by an amused wiggle of his ears.]
[ She'll walk up to him when he shifts aside. Technically, even though cat ears are a new thing, she's had plenty of experience with cat suits-- so she doesn't stare, even though she thinks they're quite adorable. The tree's gentle glow fills her up with a pleasant feeling. If there was one thing she would want to bring home with her, this was it! ]
Oh, yes! We've never had anything like it back home. Well, the sun is grand, of course, but... you know what I mean!
It's a pleasure to meet you, T'ormad! I am Princess Peach Toadstool, of the Mushroom Kingdom. It's always nice to meet new people, even in a dire circumstance like this!
[ 'Dire'? They were all fairies in a giant tree. It may be uncomfortable, but it certainly wasn't dire. Kidnappings are something she's used to by now. ]
[Nah, sylphwork smells worse. Rotten vegetables and all that.
Still, the ray of light is nothing if not captivating, and even though Chora's been trying to distract herself from coming over here like an idiot, her efforts have failed. ...She's just going to pretend that she's come over to greet a fellow Eorzean, of course.]
Reminds me of dreams I have sometimes. Floating in nothingness, and voice talks to me, asks for my help or tells me I am better than I am. Makes me feel warm and safe, as this light does...Is quite odd. [Space cadet introduction finished with, she turns to T'ormad and smiles warmly. Maybe it's just the fuzzies that the Lifestream's just given her, or maybe she really is glad to see someone from home; we just don't know.]
'lo, Ser. Must say, have never seen Miqo'te with wings. Many limbs to keep track of.
[That voice and accent brings an even wider smile to the Seeker's face. It couldn't be anything other then a roegadyn, and he tilts his head upwards until his neck is almost sore.]
Bless the Gods, a familiar soul in this strange place!
[The odd talk about her dream aside, he's honestly quite relieved to know that he's not the only Eorzean in this place, not matter how nice and at ease he felt next to this ray of light.]
Ah, yes. I'm only waiting to lose my tail with all this fluttering. How are you coping with these new appendages?
Truly is Llymlaen's blessing guiding two of us here. Would be rather lonely otherwise; no one would understand me for talking of beauty of Thanalan or La Noscea, and is sadder for it.
[Honestly, she's not usually this much of a spacecase. She just doesn't get the chance to take in so many good vibes is all, and it's a little overwhelming somehow when she's used to everything being dreary. Thankfully, their conversation's grounding her at least a little, and she even manages a short, feminine bark of laughter (instead of the dopey giggle she'd half-expected) before clapping a hand over her mouth.]
Ha! Would be true tragedy, this; do not know if wings are worth the pain of losing such an important thing for any esteemed Miqo'te. Would have uppity Tias come from woodwork in swarms then! Alas...[Clasping her hands behind her back, Chora tips her head back slightly to try and see where the light's coming from.] Do not have such worries. Am not good with wings myself, but will learn in time. Certainly have no complaints about appearance. [Of course she doesn't, not when they're exactly to her tastes.]
How tragic that would be, to not be able to reminiscence with someone about the white cliffs of La Noscea or the harsh beauty of the Sagolii! I must admit it is a little less jarring to be in this odd sylph world with a kinswoman.
[He decidedly likes her laugh, chuckling softly. A really cute kid, in his opinion - and she reminded him of his oldest.]
Ah, and I agree. Wouldn't want the brats to get any ideas, right? Rather keep my tail for now, or I'll be forced to teach some opportunistic boys a lesson when I get back.
[He cracks his knuckles with a wide grin. Looks like the old man still had claws and wasn't about to give up his position any time soon.]
Anyroad, it's a pleasure to meet you. I am T'ormad Nunh.
[He gives her a polite semi-bow, his wings quite dull next to her beautiful pastel-dusted ones, but nevertheless suiting him well.]
[Considering she knows absolute jack about Seeker culture, Chora's rather pleased that she'd guessed correctly; between her tiny win and his vivid (to her imagination at any rate) description of home, she can't help but look back down at him and grin sheepishly.
It's so weird to talk to an attractive guy without any ulterior motives. She's not sure if she's doing it right, but it's the nice weird and she's going to keep trying.] Hm-mmm, sounds like mass of tragedy on all sides. Shall become your tail-watcher to avoid such sorrow, maybe. Will even work for free, for good of clan and world--
[Oh man how often does anyone bow at her? Both hands fly to her mouth for a second before she manages to force them away again to stop from looking like a giant schoolgirl.] Is pleasure to meet you also, and hope that we become good friends to stave off homesickness. Name is Terpsichora Ll'wen, but...Stupidest name in all of Aldenard. Chora is easier on all tongues. [And with her formal introduction out of the road, she puts one fist to her left breast and returns the bow.]
Ah, I would truly appreciate that gesture, Chora. We'll watch each other's backs in this beautiful place, for the safety of tails and lives, hmm?
Courtesy aside, he was pretty sure that would be needed before the day was over. Being this small seemed to be more troublesome than an Amalj'aa raid, in his weathered opinion. Fighting was easy, this was... complicated.]
[Says cute little old mancat who happens to be the epitome of dad cuteness. She doesn't even have a dad, this is ridiculous.]
Sounds like good deal indeed. May not have much in years of experience, but have worked hard, so...May be of some use to you in future, Llymlaen forbid we are expected to fight here. ...Not that is any other reason would be brought to such place, but trust things will be clear in time. Is no need to worry so far, right? Kind of odd, but not...Not dangerous yet. Long as we are alert, shall be no surprises.
[She stops dead, before looking over her shoulder at the two yellowy puffs of fuzz now residing there; it's a little difficult to just brush things off when it's not just abduction but transformation to boot. And if the local beastmen (assumedly sylphs but gods only know) do decide to take offence to this sudden intrusion, they're going to be as useful as tits on a bull.] Ah...
Hope any threats are proportional to new sizing, however.
A horrified gasp escaped a little girl sitting nearby, her hand flying to her mouth. Agitha had taken a seat close to the kitty man, because his ears looked so soft and she was so curious as to how fluffy they were. But now she wasn't so sure that was a good idea.
"That is a very naughty word you just said, sir!" Bad kitty. Bad.
[T'or's eyes widen a bit as he hears the voice. Who put a child in his near vicinity?! How did he not see that! Gods, he felt rather bad; dad mode activated.]
Now, now. It's not that bad of a word, is it?
[Okay, so his dad mode needs a little work when it comes to other cultures.]
[He's glad that she wasn't permanently scarred, at least. Her comment about his ears makes him chuckle and he gives her an amused look.
Most other miqo'te would have been standoffish or even insulted by such a comment, but T'or simply wiggles his ears a bit.]
The softest in all of Thanalan, little lady. Would you like to make sure?
[He kneels down before her, the slightly messy white hair falling over his shoulders. While technically soft, some of the grey hairs he was getting more and more of might be a little courser - but he's still happy to entertain her curiosity.
[Kit doesn't seem to have had to change her clothes any to accommodate her new lavender butterfly wings. But seeing another catlike person around, even if they are a stranger? Definitely a plus. Plus she likes his attitude toward food; she's got a berry in each hand herself, and is just looking for a good place to sit down and eat.]
What's the Gold Saucer?
[She knows what a gold saucer is, but it sounds like he's talking about a place rather than a piece of expensive dishware, so...]
[Oh dear, who keeps putting children near him when he's saying things like this? T'or gives the... miqo'te(?) child a sheepish look. At least this one wasn't calling him on the 'tits' part.]
Oh, it's just a large casino in the desert! Quite a sight, I assure you.

Whatever this was, it reeked of sylphs.]
...what exactly is that thing? Energy?

Gods above, she was adorable! He just wanted to squish her cheeks and have her come play with his daughters.]
I fully agree, princess. Though it does not seem so dire, hm? Nobody is hurt and we're all safe. Mostly, at least.
[Some were still trying to figure out flying.]
no subject
You don't need to be so formal! I don't think me being a princess matters much here. I'm just used to introducing myself that way.
And you're right, as far as kidnappings go, this one is quite pleasant! Not a villain in sight.

I do apologize for being so uncouth in the presence of a little lady. I fully understand.

Will you forgive me?

Oh, thank you, Mister Kitty! All is forgiven!
