Welcome to the Faerie Feast!
After your have gained your wings, you are met by a feast on the second floor with all that the forest can offer you. Tables and chairs are set up everywhere along the walkway between the houses, allowing the new visitors to meet and greet - or try to hide in the corners and eat berries all by themselves.
Try your new wings to be the first to grab those delicious crumbs of walnut bread? Or say hi to your party lights, courtesy of some excited glow worms and flies that just want to be your best friends.
Explore how your new gem works, try put your leaf clothes or decide to head further into the tree, seeing just what kind of place your have stumbled into. Maybe you will even get a glimpse of those hairy legs on the fourth floor?
[B-but that's what he's best at! Right after taking blows to the head for the take of protecting others. He's quite excellent at that, too.
Still, he only gives her a wink at that disgusted look, amused as she protests and starts coming up with her own solutions. He rather liked the chigoe idea.]
It sounds like it would be quite a force to be reckoned with! Thankfully I managed to take both my sword and shield with me, so there would be a bit of steel with the sticks.
[He flutters his wings once, cocking his head a little bit to the side.]
We should not delay, though. I am certain you have bonds in Eorzea, and an old cat like me has to keep an eye on his mates and children. All thirteen of them - fourteen any day now!
[Proud dad is proud. (If he had a wallet, it would be bulging from pictures of them.) However, that last part was what made this detour a bit problematic. He wanted to be there for what might be his last child.]

[Dadding a grown woman with daddy issues (who can at least appreciate the value of a hard noggin) can only end in tears before bedtime, you mark my words. Not that there's any point to thinking about dad issues or any such fun things when they're discussing the best way to take out any threats; it's a little hard to believe that there's much hunting small people hidden in a tree, but...
It feels a little normal, too. That's nice.] Pah, 'course we come equipped; brought claws also. But thinking of others here...Must be someone can train in pugilism. Not sure that mythril has same bite when so small, however--
Huh...Thirteen, and one on the way. [Shit, he actually is a dad; she's not sure of how she's meant to feel about that. Happy that his kids seem to have a pretty alright one? Jealous? Ugh no this is not the time for her neuroses to show. They're tiny little people, and she has her mother and brother to get back to as well; there's no point in being a petty brat about it.] That's...
[Chora's face visibly changes expression at least three times, fluctuating wildly between uncertainty, resentment and some kind of grimace before settling on an awkward smile.] Nice. Mean this; seems...Seems hard, in times as this, to enjoy such things. Family, children and mates alike, are very lucky to have you; not just saying this to curry favour.
Instead, he grins broadly at her words, thrusting a fist up in the air like a dork.]
Ah, pugilism! My oldest friend and adventuring companion is a pugilist, so I have quite a bit of respect for that form of fighting. I'm sure people here would be thrilled to know some of that for excellent defense against any oversized enemies!
[T'or keeps smiling, even if he picks up the hesitation and awkwardness from her. Perhaps bringing up his tribe had not been the best thing, as it appeared to pull forth some problematic memories form her.
He gives her back a little-too-hard smack on the back, too hard to be pity but still having a bit of friendly camaraderie.]
I am. So we'll have to find our way back to Eorzea sooner or later, hmm? I have a ticket at the Cactpot that might be the winning numbers, too!

[Time to ease the tension. T'or wasn't dumb.]
