Welcome to the Faerie Feast!
After your have gained your wings, you are met by a feast on the second floor with all that the forest can offer you. Tables and chairs are set up everywhere along the walkway between the houses, allowing the new visitors to meet and greet - or try to hide in the corners and eat berries all by themselves.
Try your new wings to be the first to grab those delicious crumbs of walnut bread? Or say hi to your party lights, courtesy of some excited glow worms and flies that just want to be your best friends.
Explore how your new gem works, try put your leaf clothes or decide to head further into the tree, seeing just what kind of place your have stumbled into. Maybe you will even get a glimpse of those hairy legs on the fourth floor?
This was the best day of Agitha's life. At long last, she was the size of a bug! Being the same size as her subjects would surely be a boon to her role as princess of the insect kingdom. They were even so kind as to gift her with this lovely new castle, a feast, and... the wings! Oh, the wings were such a delightful present. She had always wondered what it would be like to fly with her insect brethren, and now she could wonder no more. She approached the banquet spread out before her with the poise expected of royalty, her glittering pixie wings (that looked strikingly similar to the butterfly wings that adorned her dress) fluttering gently.
"Oh, I simply must thank you all for this wonderful welcome! I humbly accept your delightful offerings." She announced to anyone who would listen. "Let us feast!"
[Looked like Arno found someone who fit right in with the whole crazy world. Letting himself finally deciding to mingle and meet the poor souls who came along, it was interesting to see who was actually not freaking out about the whole situation.
Peach being one, this girl being the other.
He seriously cocked a brow her way, until she spoke he could mistake her for a normal resident.
Maybe it was totally strange she was so open about it. But in any case, he gravitated her way. His wings having a mind of their own and fluttering constantly.]
Well, mademoiselle, you look like you could fit right in this little kingdom we found ourselves in.
[This small child wouldn't be misplaced as a princess in his home country. Arno really couldn't tell if she was just delusional, or maybe she was the princess of a bug kingdom in her own place. Who even knew? Honestly, Arno didn't know which would be better. Maybe "misguided" would be far better than "crazy" as well.]
"Arno" was the name given to me by my parents, born as a walking human being. As in, no wings.
[She probably wasn't going to even care or listen, wasn't she?]
Glad to see someone has fit herself right at home.
In his hands was part of his sugar rations that were hidden in a thousand tiny pockets, rations which Gaius was increasingly convinced would become a very limited supply; it was a bit of taffy, which was promptly stuffed in his mouth upon hearing the voice...and more importantly, the fact that she accepted his offerings? Cripes.
"I'm-" Chew, swallow. "-not sharing." He'd just sprouted a pair of moth wings. This was his sugar time of need.
"No!" At least that was what he tried to say as his eyes narrowed...suspicious, wary, although it came out as more of an mmnoph. Hard to talk with his mouth full. The general effect was not unlike a slightly disgruntled chipmunk shoving in the walnuts. Again. "No. Crivens. You saw nothing, Wings. Nothing at all."
He said with candy in his hands and candy in his mouth.
"Now, now, Mister Moth..." Agitha tsked him with one finger. "This banquet is for all of us here in the insect kingdom. It simply wouldn't be fair of you to take more than someone else! Don't you agree?"
If he had hackles this would be the point in which they were raised. As it was, he just gave her a solid look: flat, annoyed, and his wings fluttered once in an offended sort of fashion. Which was actually kind of...yeah, those got a brief surprised look because...wings. They were things he wasn't used to having.
Back to Wings. The tsking he just sort of stared at, smirking ever so slightly- "Look."
Then again, she did seem like one of those bluebloods. The smirk died. Bluebloods. So irrational. "Listen, what's fair is that they're mine and I'm not giving them up just because someone thought I should join some insect kingdom."
Canti hears the Bug Princess's pronouncement when it was already carpeted with the bright yellow light of several baseball-sized fireflies. It raises its arm in polite cheer, and its new insect friends fly off to Agitha in time.

[It's awfully forward of her, but she simply MUST have a better look at those wings! She quickly scurries behind Mister Butterfly.]
Oh, my! What a lovely shade of blue!
no subject
Alright, firstly, it's "Arno".
[Because forget about that "Mister Butterfly" crap.]
Secondly, you don't look like an insect. So how are you their princess?
[Really just a query. He met a talking pigeon earlier. What could even be shocking at this point?]
no subject
[Sorry, you're still a butterfly.]
Oh! The insects chose me to be their ruler, you see! After all, they brought me to this lovely castle and held this marvelous feast for me.

[Weird. All of it.]

Why, thank you, Mister Arno. I do hope you will come to find yourself feeling right at home here in the insect kingdom as well. All are welcome!
no subject
Well I am hoping to be away from this soon enough and return to my lovely abode, but thanks I suppose.
I don't think someone like me belongs in this glorious insect kingdom.

UNTIL she spots what he's got in his hand. "Hmm, I don't see that on the table. Did you bring dessert?"
