After your have gained your wings, you are met by a feast on the second floor with all that the forest can offer you. Tables and chairs are set up everywhere along the walkway between the houses, allowing the new visitors to meet and greet - or try to hide in the corners and eat berries all by themselves. Try your new wings to be the first to grab those delicious crumbs of walnut bread? Or say hi to your party lights, courtesy of some excited glow worms and flies that just want to be your best friends. Explore how your new gem works, try put your leaf clothes or decide to head further into the tree, seeing just what kind of place your have stumbled into. Maybe you will even get a glimpse of those hairy legs on the fourth floor?

[ Really, Gohan should've been concerned about the fact that he couldn't fly unless he was holding that strange gem that gave him wings. Flying had always come second nature to him, given it was one of the first abilities he learned when he began fiddling with ki. It was as second nature to him as the act of breathing, hence why it had been so difficult to teach to Goten and Videl back when he was younger. As such, he wasn't sure how comfortable he was with the idea that one of his most natural abilities now had a stipulation behind it.

Still, despite that being one of his biggest concerns, he really wasn't fretting over it right now. Heck, he wasn't even thinking about the fact that he was separated from his family, or the fact that he couldn't sense anything familiar. Of course, it was no surprise why he was distracted, given the current situation. After all, it was hard for a Saiyan to care about much else when they were presented with a feast... ]

[ The normally-well-mannered Saiyan was inhaling food at the same rate as a vacuum cleaner, shoving bread (and various other foods) into his mouth like it was the first time he'd ever tasted food. And he was currently looking over at you expectantly, as if somehow expecting you to understand the garbled mess that came out of his mouth. ]

[Meanwhile, there's Link. He's been here maybe a couple of hours, now, and while giant trees and flying through the air aren't exactly new to him either-- well, flying solo was, but that isn't the point-- he's maybe not as enthusiastic about the 'welcome feast' as others. He'd tried to be, really! But... but there's no soup in this spread. He's a little disappointed.

Not to mention drowsy. Even just sitting's making him doze off, until someone starts saying-- are those even words?-- in his direction.

Cue staring. And gaping. And more staring. How is it even possible to eat that much at once?! He's at a bit of a loss here, buddy.]

[There's a 'could you repeat that?' tacked on in there somewhere, but this kid Can't Words Good on a good day. So there's that.]

[ Oh, right. Swallowing would probably help, wouldn't it. Hang on, give Gohan a moment to chew his food some... if only to make it easier when he swallows the entire thing in one go. ]

--S-Sorry about-- [ BURP. Yep, that's what happens. ] Oh wow, uh... yeah, sorry. I was... trying to ask for the bread.

[...Yeah, he's just going to continue to stare in awe until Gohan mentions bread. Without any further prompting, Link reaches out and passes the walnut loaf across the table. Helping! Hooray!]

...Don't worry about it. Though, er... it might help to take things slower?

[He sounds uncertain, and quiet, like maybe he shouldn't be giving his two cents. Maybe this guy always eats like that. Well... it's too late to take anything back, so Link just grins a little awkwardly in Gohan's direction.]

[ Well, Link's not technically wrong. When he doesn't have to put up appearances (or think about the food bill), Gohan usually lets loose like that. Most of the time though, he tries to be civilized at the dinner table... but it's hard to stay composed when he's not sure where his daughter is, or why his flight works differently. ]

I'm usually better about that... [ He says, as he basically inhales the bread with no effort. ] I guess I'm just really hungry right now.

[Wily-Kit just gives Gohan a look. Seriously dude, she appreciates your attitude toward food, but you gotta at least pretend to eat like a civilized person. She's a little cat-girl and she has better manners than you.]

You shouldn't talk with your mouth full. It's rude, and nobody can understand you.

[Plus, her tone implies a whole lot of 'you're a grown-up; you should know better'.]

[ Hey, he's usually a civilized eater. Right now though, he's somewhere new, his daughter isn't here, he can't communicate with his loved ones, and his ability to fly is on the fritz. He'll eat however he wants so long as it gets him to calm down some.

... Although, okay, he probably shouldn't talk with his mouth full. So yeah, enjoy as he gulps down that ENTIRE lump of food down his throat. ]

Oh geez, that was a mouthful... [ Finally, he addresses her. ] S-Sorry about that.

[They're all in a weird situation,dude. That's no excuse for bad manners! ... Says the kitten who probably still has berry juice on her face and/or hands cause where do you even wash up around here?]

It's OK. [Smiles a bit] It does show that you really enjoy good food, though, and I like that in a person.
