Welcome to the Faerie Feast!
After your have gained your wings, you are met by a feast on the second floor with all that the forest can offer you. Tables and chairs are set up everywhere along the walkway between the houses, allowing the new visitors to meet and greet - or try to hide in the corners and eat berries all by themselves.
Try your new wings to be the first to grab those delicious crumbs of walnut bread? Or say hi to your party lights, courtesy of some excited glow worms and flies that just want to be your best friends.
Explore how your new gem works, try put your leaf clothes or decide to head further into the tree, seeing just what kind of place your have stumbled into. Maybe you will even get a glimpse of those hairy legs on the fourth floor?
"I take it you're not enjoying the party," said Kyle, casting Zara a quick wink. He had declined to change into the leaf tunic, choosing instead to remain in his knight's armor.
"Or are you just gathering your strength? Either way's fine with me; I just want to know if I'll need to duck."
She looked up with a frown, crimson eyes narrowing, but then her lips smoothed out. Zara was put in mind of an old friend--and though Arthur was not here, something in this man's demeanor spoke of him. Reminded her of him, at least briefly. She closed her eyes and ducked her head, slightly.
"I doubt you will have to duck. I think we are...all in the same boat? Is that the saying?" The drow tilted her head. "I imagine there is nau gain in starting a ruckus, if so."
She exhaled. "But no, I suppose I am naut enjoying the 'party'. I never did enjoy the ones I was expected to attend, I have to admit. The ones I crashed were always more fun." And at that, she laughed.
"That's the saying, all right." Although in Falena, maybe it had a little bit of added meaning.
"I'm not a big fan of rubbing elbows with nobles... but free food is nice. Usually." When it wasn't spiked with sedatives, anyway. THANKS, GODWINS.
Kyle smiled. "Anyway, if you ever need help breaking into a party no one invited you to, I'm all in. Especially one of those boring old garden parties -- I think those could use a little excitement."
"That could be fun. And I haven't done that sort of thing in years!" That actually got something of a laugh from her. "I'd probably scare the elderly at those garden parties."
Not that it sounded like Zara was terribly troubled by the idea of scaring any old people.
"Though I agree with you on the elbow-rubbing with nobles. Nau thing like a bunch of stuffy old matrons with their pointy noses waving in the air." Zara shook her head.
