5: The leaves in the forest have all changed color overnight today, going from green to the multitude of red, yellow and browns instead. This also includes everyone's leaf tunics!

In addition to this, a lot of the leaves are also falling down throughout the rest of the month and may be getting in the way for our tiny heroes. Fall cleaning?

17: An array of mushrooms pop up along the edge of the stream. Most of them are edible. A few are shrooms. The ones with the red and white-dotted caps are good for furniture... or viking berserking.

28: The pumpkin vine that appeared last month has now grown an average-sized, orange pumpkin. Releasing its fruit, the vine withdraws into the forest once again, and now the Adventurers can pumpkin-spice everything.

7: Mittens comes by to visit the Adventurers, and this time she's able to walk right through the mist. She'll stay all day and night by the Tree, playing with the Adventurers or snuggling. Her purring has a very soothing and even minor healing effect.

14 - 16: All magical, amazing forests have beautiful creatures living in them. The fairest of all these creatures is the unicorn. Wandering into the small clearing by the tree, this wondrous horned animal lights up the night with her shining white fur and mane. Beautiful, soulful and kind, she stays there for a few nights, seemingly waiting for something or someone to join her. She can be coaxed by virgins to come near the tree, and can pass through the mist.

On the sixteenth, another horse-like being will meet up with her, but this one is as ugly and frightening as she is beautiful. Water-logged, skeletal and fanged, the kelpie will play and nuzzle affectionately with the unicorn before they leave together. It will not be able to cross the mist.

22: A crow lands just outside the mist, and spends most of the day eerily watching the people inside. If approached, it will mimic strange sounds from events, things or people back in the Adventurers homes. It will leave in the evening, but the next morning, there will be a silver cross necklace tangled around a crow feather floating in the stream.

9 - 11: Who are you? What is your name, again? Some of the Adventurers seem to have lost their minds, memories disappearing at random - everything from the name of a friend to the ability to walk. Tone seems very worried about this, and will be randomly appearing with rainbow dust to put these memories back again.

At the end of the 11th, Tone seems to have fixed the strange issue somehow and everyone will be back to normal. The small spirit spends several days afterwards polishing in the shining gem by the shrine with the names in it.

19 - 20: A layer of frost appears over everything on the 19th, covering everything from the ground outside the tree to the houses inside it. Not only does it make everything rather col,d but it also makes it very, very slippery. Please do not slip and fall down the Life Stream without your wings!

The next day, the frost melts, but leaves everything a little wet and soggy. Many of the fire flies and glow worms will get the sniffles after being cold, wet and then working hard to dry things off, and will need some TLC.

29 - 31: Darkness descends upon the forest, and from the 29th to the 31st, the sun will not rise and the full moon is all light there will be. Not even the stars will glow, a strange greenish haze obscuring everything else in the sky but that pretty moon.

Inside the tree, things doe not feel as sweet and safe any more. Chime and Tone will lose their color, freezing like they have been turned to stone for the reminder of these three days. The Life Stream will snap blue and will not be able to switch back, and odd things now lurk in the corners, just at the edge of your eye. Never quite seen, never unseen.

On the night of the 31st, a grand party will start near the tree, with ghosts, spirits, undead and fae gathering to dance. Among the dancers are the Hollow Lady and the restored Violinist. Adventurers may even be invited to dance.

1. Would the unicorn be okay with someone taking a strand or two from her mane or tail? (Provided that person is ‘pure’. And yes, I know we already have unicorn hair but I want more strands for potential healing properties.)

2. Is the silver cross genuine silver? (Orcelito will be able to tell. And if it is silver, he’ll want to hang it somewhere as a protective talisman.)

3. Which of these events are going to be Mod-posted or NPC'd?

1. No, she wouldn't mind one strand or two.

2. Yep, it's the highest grade of silver possible without being too soft.

3. I'm going to try to put up mod posts for the events of the party and the unicorn (and maybe the frost), and there might be some light NPCing depending on the player actions.

Will the stuff going on from the 29th to 31st have any effect on undead/etc player characters? Like feeling more at home or slightly more empowered or such...

They might feel a lot more at home, but the blue life stream still makes everyone uncomfortable when near it. Their powers do not increase.

Could we move the Main Quest along faster to a conclusion? It’s been a week with only three replies and I think people are starting to forget the thread. ^^; I’d like to wrap it up before it falls off the front page. Let us players know if there’s anything we can do to help draw the event to a close.

To chime in here, I'm still regularly checking the thread, but my character isn't currently SAYING/doing anything as it was basically ICly agreed to have a few spokespeople, so I think it's fair to just go ahead with the next NPC response any time there's a gap with no further replies.

Question that the current quest thread just raised! If the characters were to give their vials of dust to the ant queen, would they receive a replacement vial from Tone? Or would it be possible to just give her the dust and keep the vial to refill? Normally I'd just see how this plays out ICly but since it could impact the availability of vials for threads like the side quest that take place later I figured it'd be worth confirming...

No worries, Tone will give them new vials if needed!

Pouring out the dust or putting it in something else will make that item float, and trying to catch dust in another thing other than the vials makes it useless glitter.

Amnesia: Doing this with Fuu. Probably going to go with her name / history, so I can be a nerd and have her call herself Anne (since that was her would-be dub name).

Crow: I totally want to have Fuu encounter this guy. Probably things that Umi yells at her (STOP UNDERREACTING!!!).

Pumpkin: Pumpkin!!! I'm not sure how one goes about turning pumpkin into a powdered thing, but roast pumpkin seeds FTW. Also pumpkin pie FTW. And they can maybe save the stem to carve things with?

....so I am horrible person and therefore am horribly tempted to do something like having Mika forget to fly. As in, when he's midair somewhere at least a floor or two up. Just because I can as the fall wouldn't be nearly enough to kill him or even cause lasting harm (just, y'know, REALLY HURT at the time).

EDIT: long after I logged off for the night and went to bed I remembered that OH RIGHT vampire strength means Mika probably wouldn't actually be hurt by a drop from, say, the second or third floor or so which means do you want to see someone fall from the (current) top of the tree hahaha...

Amnesia: A lot can happen to Alla in the Amnesia event. I could have him forget his human upbringing and be a wild child again. Or I could have it mess with the one curse on him and have him be more like his former self dubbed "WG."

I'm not sure what to do just yet...

Halloween: He'll most likely be loving this Halloween. There isn't anything like it where he's from and his spots will gladly feed off any fears around that time.

Amnesia: Saber will not remember she's a Servant, she'll lose her memories as King in general, and Uther as her biological father.

So she'll think she's 15-16 years old squire to knight daughter of Sir Ector. She'll be very carefree and call herself Arturia.
