If that had happened my brothers would likely be ruling Kou now or my father.
[Because his witch of a mother would never have incited the rebellion that killed all of them. He remembers being told who it was, and he remembers his mother agreeing to it. That's all that's necessary for him to have known.]
[She wants to ask how would he imagine that kingdom would be like, however, he is correct.]
No, it will not. [She pauses, feeling a sense of sadness. It has not been the outcome she could have hoped so, but in the end...] Even if it could change, it would be wrong to wish for that when we must move forward.
Back home everyone seems to think they know what I'll regret and what I won't.
[It's really annoying.]
Different then the one we have.
[He's still putting together the pieces. He knows he doesn't want to be an outcast for deciding not to follow their rules, but he doesn't actually know what he's going to build the world into yet.]
This is why you assume I would do the same? [Even when she does not know his situation besides vague awareness he is against a world conqueror cousin.] You would not know what you regret and what you do not until you reach the end of your path.
[Remorse can be experienced before, in bouts of painful reminders of things lost, but regrets only appear after the end. If they do.]
Different in what sense? [She had wanted a peaceful prosperous Britain nobody would suffer from war, from hunger, from plagues; where magic and civilization existed in harmony.] Ren, you must have a clear picture of the world you want to build in order to battle for it.
[she wonders what could be so dangerous than that relative who threatens to conquer the world.
She pauses... and looks away briefly.]
It is what I am presently. A Servant of Saber Class. [she explains, adding immediately so it will make sense.] Do you remember when I said that Magi in my world summon Spirits and make contracts with them? Among the most powerful ones they can form a pact with are the known as the "Heroic Spirits". They are usually legendary souls of those from history or myths.
[She continues, leaving aside the purpose of the summon.]
It is impossible even for a great Magi to recreate them fully, but thanks to the Holy Grail, vessels with approximate parameters are prepared for them to materialize anew. Saber, the "Knight of the Sword" is one of those vessels. [It is simple logic.] I am Saber because that is what I am presently.
Al Thaman. A cult of black magicians. Their leader was the witch who destroyed my family.
[The people who are helping said cousin to do it.]
So it's a title?
[Why not say that then?]
So you are like a Djinn?
[Should probably elaborate.] Memories from another world brought into the present one by someone else's will. Though yours is a magic tool and Djinn were chosen by Solomon.
[Except Djinn need a metal vessel and last longer.Plus they more or less get to choose their 'masters'.]
If this organization is in control of your country, why did you not receive support of your relatives? Were they corrupted by their schemes?
[She can't believe any leader would let that run amok when they ought to stop it.]
No, it is a Class Name. We Servants prefer to not reveal our identities. [Even if they are proud beings who wishes to introduce themselves fully.] Hm. That is the reason why I said it was strange the magic users of your world are not compatible with these types of familiars.
[She raises her eyebrows. That is a familiar name.]
Solomon, the King of Magic? [Are these Djinns related to the demons he tamed?]
Until recently their leader was our empress. It wasn't a long reign. For the most part, I believe so.
[He's been pretty careful with details like these, plus he doesn't know or care if they were corrupted or just using Al Thaman.]
All I know is that no mage has managed to claim a Djinn's dungeon.
I don't know about that title, but he was the King of Alma Torran for a while before it was destroyed and he created our world. Bringing the Djinn with it.
Z-chan of the specials in Zero, grow up. Shirou's teacher-tutor in FSN
I understand. If she was a vile tyrant who used the kingdom for this organization plans, nonetheless, she had no right to rule a country.
[She has a pretty strong dislike for witches.]
That makes this arrangement unusual. Magical energy is what materializes us, then what do Djinns obtain in exchange of this contract with those without it? [They wouldn't make a pact without obtaining anything, that seems fairly suspicious.]
King Solomon was a ruler and one of the most powerful magicians. Only Merlin and a handful others were on his level.
[Worlds co-exist and overlap within Gaia, one world is the layer of the ages of men and since Solomon's death, the decline of the ages of gods, another layer happened. So hearing this is not strange, it is almost like an odd coincidence.]
[See that's what he thinks! Except he's leaving out a key detail in all of this, but it's not something he wants to hear shoved down his throat again. Inheritance issues so much fun. ]
They'd say the same about me and I say the same about them.
I have two Djinn and I am not a magician. I can't use any magic outside what they've given me.
I've never heard of Merlin before you mentioned him.
About your claim? I do not know which one of your family has a right to rule. But a dark witch who might destroy her country to push an agenda of outside parties should never be king.
[She is firm on that. It vaguely reminds her to Morgan.]
Hm. But you manifest them, do you not? Does not that take energy from you? [She tries this approach, in case he confuses magical energy with spellcasting.]
He is [a troublesome old man she still esteems.] a famous magician in my world and sometimes a troublemaker.
That probably is what I mean. Magoi must be the equivalent prana or magical energy. Even if everyone has some, there are those have more than others. Perhaps this decides partly why a small number can manifest these Djinns. [At least she speculates, or they could be affected by that limitation.] Magi learn spells to utilize this surplus of prana they posses.
[She nods.]
From what you explained me, Magi are closer to the Magicians in my experience, while the magi I know should be your magicians. Merlin would be one of your Magi were he born in your realm.
Magi raise Djinn dungeons, sometimes lead people to them and the Djinn decides the vessal they go to and those vessal are deemed King candidates. That's my understanding of it.
That might explain why Judar is bored half the time. He is probably the strongest Magi we have. [Though he is reluctant to say it, not out of any disrespect but judar is not the easiest to get along with, nor he is terribly clever. He has learned new spells he wouldn't otherwise because Hakuryuu asked him so that earns a fair bit of respect.]
At least in terms of destructive power. So the terms are reversed? Judar wouldn't like being called a magician.
Then, they summon the Djinn and use other people as their anchor or do you and those with Djinns become possessed by them? [She sounds concerned about that. What are Djinns getting from this? Her question remains.]
Hm. I have spoken with this Judar. He sounds he is bored with everything. [And he complains about all things. Merlin was a handful too but his way of immaturity was one of the elderly rather than the childish teenager antics.] Yes, that was one of the first differences we noticed.
They raise the dungeon's. The Djinn are already inside. Judar...well, no another Magi might know more. Judar can raise them but I'm not sure how much of the finer details he knows.
If they possess us it is very subtle. I have full control of my wits.
[He's not really, but he grew up with the idea so it's not as strange to him. He doesn't have many, if any, examples to compare it too.Plus he doubts Judar could put in the extended focus to maintain a long term spell like that. He gets bored so easily.]
He generally is. Despite being Kou's Oracle and High Priest he was encouraged to do as he liked by the one's who raised him.
[No point in bringing up Al Thaman again, They've thrown off those shackles.]

[Because his witch of a mother would never have incited the rebellion that killed all of them. He remembers being told who it was, and he remembers his mother agreeing to it. That's all that's necessary for him to have known.]
The past isn't going to change.

no subject
Move forward. Forgiveness. What does that really do?
['Move forward'. That phrase is so annoying. Except maybe allow those who are wrong to get away with what they've done. He can't do it. Just can't.]
no subject
[Doesn't he? He has a lot of worries weighting him down, she has noticed this for a while.]
Even those who do not, they must accept that their battle is finally over.
no subject
[His battle is over when he's dead, he's accepted that already.]
Maybe after that, I don't know.

no subject
I've...your not going to go into a lecture of letting everything go?
no subject
[She can't read his thoughts, nor she knows what sins he carries. Nonetheless, both Archer and she carry so many of those.]
I merely mean "moving forward" as not wishing to foolishly go back to the past to undo a decision you regret.
[As she did, but got over it]
no subject
I don't think I can change the past, but I can rebuild my world.
[Though it's probably going to need a bit of deconstruction first. To get ride of all the non-sense preconceptions floating.]
no subject
And the ideal world you wish to build. How is it like?
no subject
[It's really annoying.]
Different then the one we have.
[He's still putting together the pieces. He knows he doesn't want to be an outcast for deciding not to follow their rules, but he doesn't actually know what he's going to build the world into yet.]
I have to finish what I've started first.
good thing I went to bed after that typo
[Remorse can be experienced before, in bouts of painful reminders of things lost, but regrets only appear after the end. If they do.]
Different in what sense? [She had wanted a peaceful prosperous Britain nobody would suffer from war, from hunger, from plagues; where magic and civilization existed in harmony.] Ren, you must have a clear picture of the world you want to build in order to battle for it.
Sleep is always good.
Then no one else will either.
[At least not exactly.]
I said it's still far off from that point, but I know at least one organization will be gone.
[He's got to keep Kou first.]
[He should probably ask something himself.]
Why do you go by 'Saber'? You seem like someone who cares about titles.
well this is a meme or else she wouldn't speak of this without asking rin or shirou
[she wonders what could be so dangerous than that relative who threatens to conquer the world.

He thought it was a strange name so...
[The people who are helping said cousin to do it.]
So it's a title?

[She can't believe any leader would let that run amok when they ought to stop it.]
