[Polite? Maybe not. Fun? Definitely.] I agree! He's very enthusiastic and energetic about helping, no matter what he does.

Again, I have to answer 'my friends.' Maybe it's selfish to wish them here, but I know they would want to be at my side--we pledged always to fight together, no matter what, and I hate to break that promise.

What do you like most about the tree, if anything?

The Tree itself? I don’t know… I’ve never been in a place like this so I have no basis for comparison. [He actually doesn’t like living inside of a giant tree, so he dodges the question.]

What sort of books do you like to read?

I like to read about history, and fantasy--well, on Earth they're fantasy stories, about wizards and spirits, and that kind of thing. But they're quite real in other places. They always have such interesting characters.

If your job at home involves paper, do you have much time to read or write for pleasure?

Yes, some. Usually in the evenings.

Have any of the stories you’ve read resembled this place?

[Well, 'interesting character' can be used in a non-meta sense, so she'd say yes either way.]

Hm, not any specific story, but there are bits and pieces that are familiar. Being taken to another world, being a tiny person in a huge world, and solving magic riddles are all things that I've read [or played] in fiction.

Do you have any martial skills, or are you purely a scholar?

I am trained in the use of the sword and spear, and I’m well-read in warfare and military strategy. But I don’t have personal experience on the battlefield.

Given the choice, would you like to retain your ability to fly when you return to your world?
