WEEKLY UPDATE May 25 - 31

weather

It's getting even hotter this week, the warmth accompanied with a thunderstorm on Thursday. Lightning will strike close to the tree, but thankfully the following rain will quickly take care of the smoldering aftermath.

The sky remains clear until Saturday, when it starts getting cloudy and gray again. This continues into next week.

flora

The tulips and the poppy are still growing nicely, pretty and colorful petals brightening up the outside of the tree. The dandelions are puffing up into white balls, ready to release their seeds.

At the edge of the mist, the raspberry bush is starting to flower.

After the attempts to solve the quest that backfired so badly, large oak leaves have fallen all over the ground outside.

fauna

More and more animals are starting to appear around the tree. Bumblebees, honeybees, wasps and other similar insects are swarming all over flowers and the tree's trunk, the mother rabbit is eating dandelions and birds are singing endlessly from dawn to dusk.

In Chime's shop, the bluebird has laid three little eggs and now remains even at night to incubate them under her feathers.

Outside the mist, deer can be seen wandering the forest, and a fox will be sniffing around the boundaries.

events

Things still seem kind of calm around the tree, but those that get close to the crystals that are blocking the last floor might hear the smallest little musical tone now and then.

quests

The adventurers have valiantly attempted to solve the quest with all kinds of ideas on how to hold hands and use their gems, but none of them have so far managed to solve it.

After trying to put Night gems against the large Day gem and vice-versa, they started a shocking turn of events that left the gems cracked. That had a bad effect on Chime as well, who nearly died.

While the gems were healed thanks to some clever adventurers and Chime was saved, the main quest has failed and the words on the mirror have shattered. Contrary to what was espected however, there doesn't seem to be an immediate backlash for failing?

welcome committee stuff

It was mentioned before both OOCly and ICly that there should be some kind of welcoming committee. While I think for now a feast/mingle log might be a bit ambitious, I'd like to see if there was any interest in making little baskets for newcomers as well as temporary housing until they found someone they wanted to live with?

I just wanted to poke around and see if any folks wanted to get started on that sometime this week. If so, I can do an amber + action post to get the ball rolling, see what the characters can come up with and who would like to do what.

WELL. Since Archer finally clarified to Saber she didn't kill him in HF and as far as she knows this means she didn't try to kill Rin, she'll slowly be more invasive of Rin's apartment and space.

She could ask her.

She's not like Fujimura-sensei, she just thinks..!! She can't live with a classmate..!!

She will sugest them to marry; Shirou must take responsibility. As a king, she can perform the ceremony. Archer can be the bridesmaid. Illya the flower girl. *nod*

Think about it as staying with Saber while Shirou is one of Saber's guests.

M-Maybe... she can stay over a night just to see what it's like.

Fuu would certainly help! excuse to finally have her hang with Rin I HAVE BEEN FAIL I'M SORRY Maybe they could use some of the abundant oak leaves to build up some temporary housing? For like, tents and stuff.

No, no, no. I've been the one flailing all over the place ^^ Bad weather and a busy work schedule has made it difficult for me to do much! I can't wait for her to hang out with Fuu! I'm not sure about temporary housing, but it's a good idea. We'd have to check in with the mods first!

I plan to get a post up soon related to it. Either this weekend or the first, depending on weather conditions so feel free to drop in.
