Assume Eren is around, making sure his fire stays lit. By the end of my hiatus, through the work of several characters, the fire should be covered and contained, so that it is safe from rain and the elements. In my minds eye, I see it looking a bit like a tiny pizza oven, with the fire itself on top of a stone to keep it off the ground and a tent-like shelter over top, made of sticks and leaves (that need to be changed every other day or so).

Feel free to handwave any use of the the fire! Just make sure it stays lit. Or else you will have a very angry little Titan Shifter on your hands.
